Are you a mental health professional who is tired of being trapped by the four walls? Do you love the outdoors and adventure? Do you like to use metaphors and movement in your practice? Then join us for an Adventure Therapy training. This workshop will be led by Nicky Treadway, LMHC and Ricky Santiago, LMHC, two Adventure Therapists and owners of EPIC ADVENTURES, an adventured based practice.

This workshop will educate about the history and practicality of Adventure Therapy. During the course, the instructors will review history, practical application, risk management, how to integrate into current practice and demonstration of hard skills.

Adventure Therapy, although an old form of therapy, has been growing in popularity in the last decade. Currently, Adventure Therapy is being practiced all around the world. From large organizations to small practices, traditional therapy supplemented with adventure/experiential approaches is proving to be more and more effective.

This course is sure to be a wonderful starting place for any clinician looking to initiate practice as an Adventure Therapist. Attendees are invited to dress comfortable and get ready to learn through experience.
